At Sri panwa, we prioritize sustainable water conservation by improving efficiency and minimizing waste. Our Reservoir Project collects rainwater and treated water, reducing both water usage and costs, while maintaining high-quality standards and regulatory compliance. This initiative also allows treated water to be reused for activities like watering plants, further lowering water costs, and benefiting the local community.

We are committed to increasing energy efficiency by optimizing electrical appliances, switching to energy-saving devices like LED lights, and implementing sensor-based automatic lighting systems. Our air conditioning units are set to operate at specific times, while regular maintenance and automation systems help effectively control energy usage, contributing to a more sustainable environment.

Efficient food waste management is a priority at Sri panwa. We separate and manage food waste, converting it into fertilizer or animal feed. We also encourage both guests and staff to reduce waste by offering menu options that maximize resource use and minimize food loss.

We are committed to reducing paper usage to promote sustainability. By transitioning from traditional paper documents to printing on both sides, we maximize resource efficiency. Promotional materials, as well as recommendations for tourist attractions and in-house restaurants, are now available online and easily accessible via QR code. Additionally, we’ve adopted an online document management system to eliminate unnecessary printing and encourage digital communication. These efforts have helped us save resources, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to environmental preservation.

We take great pride in promoting the planting of native trees that serve as vital food sources and shelters for a wide variety of wildlife. Thanks to these efforts, we’ve seen a remarkable rise in the populations of hornbills and other bird species. This flourishing biodiversity provides our staff and guests with an extraordinary opportunity to immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring beauty of the local ecosystem, up close and personal.

At Sri panwa, our commitment to environmental stewardship extends to the protection of marine life, especially the endangered leatherback turtle. We regularly organize activities such as turtle pond cleaning and beach clean-ups to help maintain a safe and healthy habitat. Recently, we hosted a charity dinner featuring a rare item auction to raise funds in support of marine conservation efforts. Located just a five-minute walk from the Upper Andaman Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, we also encourage guests to participate in educational visits to the center, where they can learn more about marine ecosystems and contribute to ongoing preservation efforts.
